What is Vibrational Sound Therapy?
Vibrational sound therapy uses vibrations of the human voice as well as objects that resonate such as tuning forks, gongs, and crystal or Himalayan singing bowls to go beyond relaxation and stimulate healing.
Singing bowls and forks are used on and around the body to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, part of the autonomic nervous system, which regulates the vagus nerve and flight-fight response. The sound vibrations stimulate the production of nitric oxide, a precursor to inflammation reduction. The activated parasympathetic nervous system reduces heart rate, blood pressure and lowers brain wave activity. There is some research suggesting that tuning fork therapy may help relieve muscle and bone pain.
GabrielNelson creates a safe sacred space to intuitively channel sound based on your individual situation. He is not a healer, rather he creates the space for clients to heal themselves. The client calls forth the sounds that are elicited through GabrielNelson.
What are the benefits of Vibrational Sound Therapy?
Each experience is unique. Clients frequently report the following benefits after one or more sessions:
What should I expect during a Vibrational Sound Therapy Session?
A sound therapy session can be in a group sound meditation or individual therapy session. GabrielNelson uses tuning forks, Zen Therapeutic singing bowls, chimes, gongs and other percussive instruments along with Reiki energy, crystals and essential oils in individual sound therapy sessions.
Group sound meditations may include other instruments.
The main difference between the two is that individual sessions allow for the placement of weighted forks on the body and are tailored to your individual situation. The collective consciousness and energy of a group influence group sound meditations. Both types of sessions are designed to create a soothing soundscape, so you may journey into a dreamlike state to relax. Some people report visions, inspirations, see colors or ancestors, and release trapped emotions. Others just relax and finish in a more relaxed state. Some get answers to questions. Follow your own intuitive guidance and set an intention before going into a sound therapy session.
What is Reiki?
GabrielNelson facilitates the flow of Reiki energy during sound therapy sessions and is a master-level Usui and Karuna™ practitioner.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
How do I prepare for a session?
Be well rested and well hydrated before your session. Some people like to come with an intent in mind. Others arrive with a concern they'd like to address. It could be a physical, mental, or emotional issue. Avoid a heavy meal, alcohol or mind-altering substances before a sound therapy session or group meditation. Wear loose comfortable closing and remove jewelry around the neck.
What should I expect after a session?
Be gentle with yourself after a session, regardless of the modality. Listen to what your body wants. It’s always best to drink extra water before and after a session because you could be releasing energies throughout the next day or two. Water helps these move through your body. Allow yourself time to rest. Some people feel energized after a session. Others just want a nap. Some people feel emotional and others feel more aligned with their body, mind and spirit.
Some people enjoy a bath after a session with Epsom salt and/or baking soda to help remove toxins.
If you have any questions after a session, please call or email GabrielNelson. Sometimes people may feel stuck so call GabrielNelson, who will assist you with further guidance.
